Mike Bird joined the BBC 25 years ago from the electronics industry and did his initial training in audio covering radio, music and drama recording and TV/Film sound. Since becoming freelance in the early 90's and working generally in the audio arena, he has developed his technical and artistic work to include technical managing and the use and design of multimedia online. Mike has been involved in teaching young people sound and media skills over a good number of years and is currently Governor of a 'Media Special Status' school.
